Provide analysis, design, and coding support for administrative systems. Works with project teams to transition existing applications and processes to new campus technologies. Provides support for automated build and deployment tools in a Windows environment.
Develop and maintain custom software solutions on McCombs-approved techology platforms. Participate in technical projects using formal project management practices, providing regular schedule, milestone, and implementation updates. Develop detailed requirement analysis, technical specifications, and end-user documentation for systems and applications. Develop stakeholder relationships. Support business process improvement for internal and external customers. Work collaboratively to identify functional and technical solutions to client needs. Develop and maintain quality assurance and testing support for software created in-house and for third-party vendor products used at the McCombs School. Support software lifecycle management tools, including providing scripting and management support for version control tools, continuous integration and deployment servers.
Other related functions as assigned.
One year experience developing software applications using object-oriented programming or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Thorough understanding of object-oriented architecture and relational database use. Experience using wikis or other publishing platforms to document policies and procedures for technical teams. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, in a team oriented environment. Demonstrated success working effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to complete projects and tasks by set deadline. Professional demeanor. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability and aptitude to learn new technologies, including Salesforce and Force.com platforms.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Salesforce Developer certification. Experience working with Salesforce and Force.com platform. Experience working with C-Sharp, Python, or Ruby and their related web frameworks (Asp.Net, Django, Flask, Rails). Experience working with modern IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio. One year experience defining business processes and system objectives. Experience with unit testing, quality assurance testing, application server administration, database management, logging, and system monitoring. Experience working with sensitive data.
